In “Who Won The Battle For Top 10 Kickflip Ever Done?!” we raise the question, “who is it?”  Who won?!  Now, there are a couple things to note here…number 1, we are not the authority here, this is just our opinion and we would love to hear yours!  Number 2, this is NOT the most famous, this is “Top 10” - whatever that means.  The other thing to note is that this doesn’t really make too much sense because some of our top kick flippers have several kickflips in the video.  Just don’t overthink it ;)  Either way, we hope that minimally this serves you as a spot to watch some epic kickflips from over the years. In “The Entire Legendary Handrail In The Rain Skate Session | Rare Pat Duffy Footage”, we take an extended look into the “Pat Duffy STORIED First In Flight” and go back to the fateful day in Marin, CA and view the 10 stair rain session in its entirety, taken from arguably the most impactful skate video of all time, Plan B “Questionable”.  Did you know that Pat did the backside lip slide twice and tried to do it again?  Pat’s part would go on to influence a whole new genre and generation of skateboarding and skaters.  Miraculously, the late Mike Ternasky kept the camera rolling the whole time and thanks to Jacob Rosenberg, we get to experience it all.  Pat gives us a little insight to the night before and the day of; how it came about and why he skated the rail in the rain.  Jacob explains Mike’s importance to himself and Pat, describing how that led to this legendary moment in skateboarding.  In “Questionable,” The session is beautifully set to The Doors “Riders On The Storm”.  To skateboarders, this 10 stair rain footage is entertaining and iconic but to close friends of Mike Ternasky, this footage is a trip down memory lane and a chance to spend more time with their friend who tragically passed away shortly after in a car accident.  A huge thank you to Jacob Rosenberg for assisting and supplying us with this footage to share with the world.  Plan B “Questionable” also featured legends such as Mike Carroll, Rick Howard, Rodney Mullen, Sean Sheffey, Danny Way, Ryan Fabry, Matt Hensley & Sal Barbier.

In “The Moment Skateboarding Changed Forever | Pat Duffy “First In Flight”, Professional Skater & Host, Torey Pudwill introduces the audience to our show before we sit down with the man himself and get a glimpse into what was going through his head during those historical skate sessions over 30 years ago.  Pat Duffy’s “Plan B Questionable” video part, set to a “Primus” song, is regarded as one of the single-most impactful street skateboarding parts to ever be released.  He took common street tricks to humungous spots, opening doors and eyes while breaking down nearly every barrier.  His “Questionable” video part changed skateboarding and shaped what skating would look like for years to come, inspiring a whole new genre and generation.  Even Professional Skateboarders such as Jamie Thomas, Geoff Rowley, Chad Muska and Jeremy Wray and others could not believe their eyes!  Looking back, the newer generation of pros such as Nyjah Huston and Jamie Foy credit their skating style to Pat Duffy.  While notable pros Chris Cole, Paul Rodriguez, Ryan Decenzo, Stefan Janoski, Colin McKay and Tim O’Connor also give their praises.  This video acknowledges Pat’s entire “Questionable” video part but really sets the focus on a few standout moves that blew minds: The Backside 50-50 on the bump to rail at San Pasqual, the insane 50-50 down the 20 rail, the double kink 50-50 in San Diego and the legendary 10 stair rail session.  A major part of Pat’s story is also the story of skate filmmaking legend and Plan B Godfather, Mike Ternasky, who was Pat’s Filmer, mentor, friend and father figure at the time.  Mike tragically passed away in a car accident years later but his influence would live on in not only Pat and the Plan B team, but skateboarding as a whole; shaping the way new age video parts were formed.  We would like to give a HUGE thank you to filmmaker Jacob Rosenberg for assisting and supplying us with archival footage for this project, we could not have done it without him.  Jacob was Mike’s second hand man and went on to carry on his legacy through iconic Plan B films.  Plan B “Questionable” also starred: Danny Way, Mike Carroll, Rick Howard, Sean Sheffey, Matt Hensley, Colin McKay, Sal Barbier, Ryan Fabry and Rodney Mullen.

Ryan Sheckler & Dave Bachinsky” we sit down with about 20 Professional Skateboarders to ask their opinion on what the most well-known kickflip to mankind is.  To be clear, the question is not the biggest, fastest, craziest, gnarliest, highest, longest, slowest…it’s the most “famous”.  At the conclusion of our investigation, we narrowed it down to a top two and got the responsible parties in a room together, to talk kickflips!  Ryan Sheckler and Dave Bachinsky sit down in San Clemente, California at The Sandlot Times HQ, to talk us through their iconic kickflips at El Toro 20 stair and Costco Gap.  Although both skaters went on to have incredible careers, these legendary kickflips etched their names into the history of skateboarding forever.  So what are your thoughts, did they get it right?!
